Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal nominated for Ice Bucket Challenge by Wesley Sneijder's wife Yolanthe Cabau

• Cabau also challenges socialite Paris Hilton 

What do Louis van Gaal and Paris Hilton have in common? The pair have both just been nominated for the Ice Bucket Challenge by Yolanthe Sneijder-Cabau, the wife of Dutch footballer Wesley Sneijder.

Cabau, a model and TV presenter, joined the millions of people taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on Friday, and passed the challenge on to the Manchester United manager.

If he takes up the challenge, Van Gaal will be following the example of several of his United players, including Marouane Fellaini, Shinji Kagawa and new signing Marcos Rojo.

Van Gaal would also be continuing the procession of Manchester United managers taking the challenge. 

Former boss David Moyes posted a video of his attempt on Thursday, while midfielder Anderson has nominated legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. 

Van Gaal will now have 24 hours to carry out the challenge or donate to the ALS Association.
